David Ornstein believes Harry Kane might be happy to stay at Tottenham
In a sensational pre-season friendly against Shakhtar Donetsk, Harry Kane delivered a performance that Tottenham fans have come to expect from their star striker. Scoring an impressive four goals in their triumphant 5-1 victory, Kane showed the world that his commitment to the club remains unshaken.
Under the guidance of Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham’s performance on the field against Shakhtar Donetsk was extremely promising and exciting. The team, under Postecoglou’s management, seems to be experiencing a new dawn.
While Kane’s on-field prowess stole the show, it was the resounding chants of “Harry Kane, we want you to stay” from the stands that truly captured the sentiment of the Tottenham faithful who sent a very clear message.
In a recent analysis, David Ornstein provided insight into Kane’s potential future with Tottenham. Ornstein’s perspective suggests that Harry Kane might find contentment staying at Tottenham if a transfer agreement isn’t reached with contenders like Bayern Munich.
Ornstein goes on to speculate that Kane could even contemplate extending his contract with Spurs under the condition that the club exhibits unwavering ambition. This ambition would be characterized by competitiveness under the leadership of Ange Postecoglou
Speaking on ViaPlay Football, Ornstein shared his perspective, stating
“As we speak Harry Kane is starting Tottenham’s final pre-season friendly against Shakhtar Donetsk and he’s captain. Harry Kane if he starts the Premier League season with Tottenham, his preference is not to leave”
As of now, no formal agreement binds Tottenham and Bayern Munich. The German club’s unwavering efforts to secure Kane’s services seem to have hit a roadblock, and the lack of response from Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has not helped the cause.
Intriguingly, Kane’s preference seemed to have tilted towards Bayern but the unwavering love that he got from the Tottenham fans might instigate a change of heart and make him want to stay here.
