Bayern Munich have found a house for Harry Kane as their confidence of signing him increases

According to the Mirror, Bayern Munich’s confidence in signing Tottenham superstar Harry Kane is ever increasing and they have found a house for the striker to live in Bavaria.

A couple of days ago, The Athletic (subscription required) reported that the German champions made their final bid worth £80m plus add-ons to sign the England captain and had set a deadline until Friday for Spurs to respond.

However, seeing how Tottenham are dragging this saga because Daniel Levy wants £120m to even contemplate selling the club’s talisman, Bayern are prepared to let this boil over till the final hours of this transfer window before a deal is made.

A few days ago, Sky Sports revealed that Kane will have no hesitation in staying for another year at Spurs should a move is not finalised before the first game of the season against Brentford.

Whether the striker remains true to that thought despite Bayern’s confidence in signing him, even if it is late in the window, we wait and see about that.

One thing is clear that the 30-year-old won’t sign a contract extension with Spurs. So, either he goes now for a negotiated transfer fee or leaves for free next summer.

None of this is helping Tottenham at the moment. If they lose their star man so late in the window, it becomes very tough to find a like-for-like replacement. Although they are working towards a deal to sign Iran international Mehdi Taremi from Porto, it won’t be easy considering the difference in valuation between the two clubs.

The best outcome could be Kane leaving before the first game of the season and Spurs having at least two weeks to find a replacement, even by overpaying for that new player. Selling the England captain now warrants a transfer fee for the club, something that won’t come if this drags on till next summer.
