Tottenham skipper Son Heung-min and boss Ange Postecoglou in the running for accolades for Month awards
Tottenham skipper Son Heung-min and manager Ange Postecoglou are in the running for the Player and the Manager of the Month award respectively in the Premier League.

The boss’ managerial acumen has not gone unnoticed, as he sees himself nominated for the Manager of the Month award for March. Under Ange’s guidance, Tottenham enjoyed a successful month, securing three wins out of four matches. His leadership and the team’s notable victories, including a resounding 4-0 win against Aston Villa, surely highlight his impact on the club’s performance.
Sonny faces stiff competition for the Player of the Month title from other standout players in the league, including Alexander Isak, Alexis Mac Allister, Rodrigo Muniz, Cole Palmer, Antoine Semenyo and Ben White. Similarly, Ange faces tough competition for the Manager of the Month title, with rivals such as Mikel Arteta, Andoni Iraola, and Jurgen Klopp also in contention.
Double awards, potentially!
If Son secures the award this month, it will be a remarkable fifth time in his career and the second time within the same campaign. His previous victories in September 2016, April 2017, October 2020, and September 2023 certainly attest to his enduring brilliance on the field.
The South Korean international is not the only Spurs player to earn recognition this season, with James Maddison, Cristian Romero, and Richarlison also featuring on the shortlist earlier in the campaign.
As far as the manager is concerned, this isn’t Ange’s first brush with the Manager of the Month award, as he made history earlier in the season by becoming the first manager to win the accolade in each of his first three months in the competition – August, September, and October. His March nomination only reflects his continued impact and leadership at Tottenham.
