Spurs set to up bid for Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey, and former Spurs scout Bryan King believes that the North Londoners will make an improved offer to land his signature this summer.

The ex-scout has been all praise for Jacob Ramsey, as he described him as a ‘talented’ player with abundant potential.

This comes on the back of a report by The Times that suggests that the Villians have rejected a £20 million plus Lo Celso opening bid by Daniel Levy & Co. for a probable move this off-season. The club is now weighing up an improved offer to sign the 23-year-old. This would be an interesting profile to add to Ange Postocoglou‘s roster this summer.

The Australian gaffer has an abundance of high-potential young players at his disposal going into next season, and Jacob Ramsey would add to the team’s depth and dynamic attacking options. And Bryan King, in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, believes that a potential agreement could still be reached to sign the Aston Villa academy graduate. He said:

“If they’re seriously interested, then make a serious offer. Aston Villa will be expecting a better offer. Lo Celso should be classified as a £25 million player based on his experience and international pedigree.”

“It sounds like a reasonable deal that could get done. Ramsey has a lot of potential; he is a talented young player, and I think Spurs’ next offer for him will be an improved one.”

Lo Celso’s time at Tottenham is already nearing its conclusion, and if the club can find a deal with the Argentine heading the other way in a cash-plus-player transfer, it could prove to be a mutually beneficial move for both parties involved.
