Nottingham Forest willing to sell Tottenham Hotspur target Callum Hudson-Odoi
According to Football Insider, Nottingham Forest are ready to sell ex-Chelsea forward Callum Hudson-Odoi who is on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar.
Despite selling enough players to meet PSR guidelines by June 30, the Premier League club are still open to let the 23-year-old Englishman leave as they look to make a massive profit on the deal.
One of the most highly-rated players coming out of the Cobham academy in recent seasons, it’s a pity that Chelsea never got to see the best of the young English forward whose time at the club was largely characterized by incessant injury issues.
Having joined Forest at the beginning of last season, Hudson-Odoi was excellent for a struggling team. The 23-year-old played 35 times across all competitions, scoring eight goals and providing a couple of assists.
With a contract that expires in 2026 (Transfermarkt), Forest might realise that it’s only a matter of time before Hudson-Odoi outgrows the club if he already hasn’t the best value they’d get for him is likely to be by making a sale this summer.
Tottenham showed interest in the ex-Chelsea winger before the PSR guidelines, trying to take advantage of Forest’s situation but they still continue to pursue a move for the player despite the change in scenario.
Speaking about the player a few years ago, Blues legend Frank Lampard revealed he sees a ‘world class player in the making’. He might not have gotten to that level yet but Hudson-Odoi still has a lot of time to get there in his career.
Ange Postecoglou is looking for a winger to add to his roster and in Hudson-Odoi, he will get a player who can play on either wing. The ex-Chelsea man brings an electric ability to the team, something the squad lacks at the moment.
