New Tottenham man Archie Gray boisterous after first training session
New signing Archie Gray was keen to impress his coaches on day one as the players reported back to training at Tottenham for the 2024/25 pre-season.
Gray featured in clips shared on the club’s official YouTube channel, evidently ready to get things going as soon as possible.
“Ever since I signed, I couldn’t wait to get started, and I can’t wait to train again more. The first session today, it was brilliant and I really enjoyed it, I just can’t wait to train again.”

The 18-year-old England U21 international, capable of playing as a right-back as well as in central defensive midfield areas, has recently arrived at Tottenham from Leeds United on the back of a £40m deal, having impressed in the Championship last season as the Yorkshire Whites almost earned themselves promotion back to the Premier League.
Spurs begin their 2024/25 season against Leicester City in a Monday-night Premier League opener on August 19.
Gray embodies Tottenham’s promise for 2024/25
Archie Gray’s numbers last season were nothing short of sensational for a player of any age group, let alone at the U18 level; there’s no doubt Spurs have pulled off quite the coup in landing him amidst tough competition.
While expecting Gray to start off playing every minute for Spurs next season is obviously unreasonable, it wouldn’t be surprising if he were to start making more and more regular appearances as the season progresses, especially given his ability to play both centrally and down the right.
