Tottenham and Wolves are £15m apart in valuation for talented forward Pedro Neto
According to Give Me Sport, Tottenham and Wolves are £15m apart in their valuation for talented 24-year-old Portuguese forward Pedro Neto.
Wolves value their star winger at around £60m after his exploits for the club in the last 12 months. They clearly want to make hay when the sun shines. However, Spurs are willing to offer £45m at the moment.
The North London club are keen on securing the services of the Portuguese international who featured for his nation in the European Championship. However, Neto did not get much game time from Roberto Martinez.
A player equally comfortable with playing on either wing and also in attacking midfield, Pedro Neto might be an upgrade on Dejan Kulusevski. The Swede struggled for form at times last season but still managed to showcase his versatility.
The GMS report reveals that there is no guarantee or necessity for Wolves to sell Neto this summer. This means that the club will consider a sale only if any interested party meets their asking price.
With negotiations, Spurs might be able to bring Wolves down slightly from their asking price. Buying clubs usually tend to lowball their first offer while selling clubs usually demand a price a little more than they are actually expecting.
Speaking about Pedro Neto, here is what Gary O’Neil had to say about what the 24-year-old brings to the table
“His work rate, the way he trains, playing within the shape and structure and taking information on board. He is incredibly talented and physically very gifted as well.”
If Tottenham manage to bridge the gap and convince Wolves to sell the player, they will be getting a young player with tremendous potential who already has Premier League experience. This is a very rare combination to get.

If Ange Postecoglou decides that Neto is the player he needs for his team, Spurs shouldn’t mind spending the extra cash to get him. Let’s wait and see how the team go about this.
