Tottenham forward Richarlison is linked with a move to Everton
Tottenham Hotspur star Richarlison has struggled to stay fit this season. The Brazil international has endured a tough time ever since his move to N17 from Everton. It feels like the end of the road is near for the prolific striker at the North London club and it is the right time to cash in on him. The 27-year-old has also fallen down the pecking order under Ange Postecoglou.
As per Sofascore, the Spurs No.9 has managed to play just 20 games in all competitions this season, scoring five goals and providing two assists. Richarlison arrived to N17 with such high hopes after enduring a successful stint at Goodison Park. He was the main man for the Toffees and was seen as a perfect signing to play alongside Harry Kane. But it has just not worked out and fans have grown frustrated by the Brazilian’s lack of availability.

Now, Spurs have struggled to carve out positive results this season. The club is languishing in the bottom half of the Premier League table and a massive squad overhaul is needed in the summer. Ange Postecoglou is also facing an uncertain future at the club after enduring 19 league defeats this season.
Everton might not pursue Tottenham for Richarlison
Tottenham need to bring in reinforcements in the summer after enduring a disastrous season. For that, the Lilywhites need to sell players and generate funds. It was reported earlier that Richarlison is linked with a move away from the club after enduring a tough time at N17. Spurs are willing to let the Brazil international leave in the summer and value him at around £40m.
Everton are one of the clubs interested in signing the 27-year-old for next season. However, they now face a stumbling block as the Toffees cannot afford Tottenham’s asking price for the striker. As per Ben Jacobs on GIVEMESPORT’s Market Madness Podcast,
“There is no doubt that Richarlison is going to be looking for a move this summer. Saudi Arabia are interested, with Al-Ahli trying in the past. But my understanding is that Everton are reticent on Richarlison because of the injury record and the price that Tottenham are asking for.”

The football correspondent added,
“It’s not going to be quite as high from Tottenham’s perspective as last summer, when the number was £60million or no business, but Richarlison is still valued by Tottenham in the region of £40million to £45million. That’s probably going to be prohibitive as far as Everton are concerned.”
Ben Jacobs suggested that Richarlison is surely on the move in the summer and has attracted interest from Everton, as well as, some Saudi clubs. However, Jacobs also pointed out that Everton would not force a move for the Brazil international if Spurs set the asking price at £40m. He said that the Toffees would be priced out and they would not be able to afford the 27-year-old.
