“Give him time”- Andreas Bjelland urges Tottenham to back newly appointed manager; players must ‘trust the process’

Thomas Frank will look to build on the Europa League success next season
A new dawn is on the horizon for Tottenham as they look to build on the Europa League success next season. The Lilywhites finally managed to end their 17-year for a major trophy last month against all odds. All the heartbreaks and the near misses in recent years were triumphed by the historic moment when the North London club won the Europa League exceeding all expectations.
Now, Spurs have the opportunity to kickstart a new era at N17 and use the European glory as a springboard to compete for more trophies. It is fair to say that the Lilywhites have not yet managed to get going following their success, and they also questionably sacked Ange Postecoglou following the historic achievement.

But in football, the show must go on and the North London club has no time to dwell on the sacking news if they want to close the gap on their rivals next season. Spurs have appointed Thomas Frank as Big Ange’s successor, and the Danish tactician will be under tremendous pressure from the get-go at N17.
Thomas Frank is the right man to lead Tottenham forward
‘Time’ is an invaluable thing in football and not many managers have the luxury of getting it when they are leading a club. Every club wants instant success on and off the pitch as they want to compete with their rivals without lagging in any way. All these factors are dependant on the manager of the club, as the performances and the results on the pitch determine the progress of that football club.
Now, Spurs fans must be reminded of that as Thomas Frank takes charge at N17, replacing the man who won the Lilywhites their first trophy in 17 years. Ex-Ljungby player Andreas Bjelland has urged the club to give the Danish tactician some time as well. Speaking to the BBC, Bjelland said,
“You have to buy in as a player on the project and the main thing is to trust the process, trust his way of doing it and I think he can do some big things there. Hopefully with the signing of him they also give him a little bit of time.”

The ex-Ljungby player added,
“I know it has to go fast because they need to have a much better season in the Premier League, but hopefully they will give him a little bit. This time with the baggage he has and the stuff he has learned already, I think it will be much faster than maybe it was at Brentford.”
Andreas Bjelland, who once played under Thomas Frank, has urged the Tottenham players to trust in the process and buy into Frank’s project. The ex-Ljungby believes that the Danish tactician will do well at N17 if he is given some time to succeed. Bjelland acknowledged that the Lilywhites need to be better in the Premier League instantly, but the ex-player suggested that Thomas Frank is the right man to take the club forward instantly.

Fans will hope that the decision to sack Ange Postecoglou does not backfire in any way. It is more important for the club’s hierarchy to see that the performances on the pitch are gradually improving under Thomas Frank, and the results will eventually follow in due time. The North London club need to get going in the transfer market as well following the Europa League success.
