Tottenham make enquiries about 10 G/A Juventus star; PL rivals also keen

Tottenham are looking to fend off competition and sign Juventus striker Timothy Weah in the summer
The need for a new striker at Tottenham is imminent as the North London club heads for a massive squad overhaul in the summer. The Lilywhites cannot afford to go another window without rectifying the mistakes as they look to build on the Europa League success next season. With Thomas Frank now at the helm at N17, Daniel Levy must back the manager as they aim to kickstart a new era at Hotspur Way.
The Danish tactician prefers to play with two strikers up front against strong oppositions. However, that might not work at Spurs as of now due to the lack of depth in the number nine position. The only quality striker in the club’s ranks is last summer’s statement signing Dominic Solanke. The England international also had a rough start to life at N17 following his big money switch, but he is world-class when he gets going.

The same cannot be said about Richarlison though. The Brazil international has failed to replicate any sort of form that he showed during his time at Everton. It has been three years now since the 28-year-old made the switch to N17, but he has still not managed to cement a place in the starting eleven.
Tottenham eyeing a deal to sign Juventus striker Timothy Weah
It is not a surprise that Tottenham are aiming to land a new striker to compete with Dominic Solanke next season. The England international needs someone to push him to the next level and it is clear that Richarlison is not the right player to do that. The ex-Everton striker is also linked with a summer exit, and Daniel Levy is aiming to bring in a potential replacement to fill the void left behind.
As per TeamTalk, Spurs have made an enquiry to strike a deal for Juventus striker Timothy Weah in the summer. It is not going to be an easy task for the Lilywhites to land the USMNT international, as the Turin-based club view him as a crucial part of Igor Tudor’s setup for next season. He also has three years left in his contract, and the Old Lady are not in a hurry to cash-in on him any time soon.
Also, Tottenham are not the only ones aiming to sign the 25-year-old. The aforementioned report also states that Everton, RB Leipzig, and Atletico Madrid are also aiming to sign the striker as they look to bolster their squad for next season. The only way Spurs can sign the Juve striker is by bidding an offer that will be too good to turn down.
Signing Timothy Weah would mean that Richarlison would lose his place in the starting eleven. The USMNT international will also provide good cover for Dominic Solanke, and he would also be useful under Thomas Frank due to his versatility. Weah can play anywhere in the attacking line, and was utilised as a make-shift right back for Juventus last season.

The 25-year-old has explosive pace that could be used to run into channels between the defenders. He also possesses a good range of passing, and can put in early crosses from the by-line. The versatile attacker’s ability to track back and win possession again is something that Thomas Frank would benefit from.
