Tottenham want to offload Bryan Gil permanently this summer and are seeking in the region of €15

Tottenham Hotspur are gearing up for a major summer transfer overhaul in the off-season, as Daniel Levy and his team aim to elevate the squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Outgoings will play a crucial role in making space for new faces, and Spurs attacker Bryan Gil is expected to be one of the players who could be on his way out.

The Spaniard has endured a forgettable time at Tottenham ever since arriving from Sevilla in 2021. He has been nothing short of a misfit in the Premier League, making only 24 appearances in a Spurs shirt thus far.

After loan spells with Valencia and Sevilla, Bryan Gil moved to Girona last season. The winger was enjoying a decent campaign with Girona before he sustained a knee injury in March. He had to undergo a knee operation, thereby, ending his season prematurely which yielded three goals and as many assists in 25 league outings. Girona had an option to sign the 24-year-old permanently but they decided to not take it, meaning Gil has returned to Tottenham.

Now, there is an expectation that the Spaniard will be sold by the Lilywhites this summer, with the winger only having one year left on his contract. Sevilla have now revived their interest in Gil and are ready to sign him.

According to a report from Spanish outlet OB, Sevilla are now planning on making a move for Gil and will only pay up to €5-6m. However, Spurs are hoping to receive €10-15m for their player, who is keen on re-joining Sevilla. Other clubs also remain in the race, including Olympiacos, Villarreal and Valencia.

Should Spurs sell Gil to Valencia post-June 30, or retain him for squad depth?
Sevilla are considering making an offer for Tottenham misfit Bryan Gil

At 24, Gil still has a lot of time to re-launch his career and he wants to do it back in his nation, preferably in Seville. The left-footed attacker revealed earlier this year that his desire is to leave Tottenham permanently. Valencia also remain keen on him, but the aforementioned report adds Sevilla are considering making an offer.

More Tottenham Hotspur News:

It is clear that Sevilla are trying to take advantage of Gil’s contractual situation at N17. With just over 12 months remaining on his contract, Spurs have to be pragmatic here. The Hotspur Way chiefs must take a wise decision of cutting their losses on the five-cap Spanish international by selling him now, rather than risking further devaluation of the player.

That said, Daniel Levy and Co. must learn from their past mistakes and recruit the right players moving forward, profiles that will not only fit into Frank’s system but also offer value to the club in the long run.
