Bryan King suggests Tottenham target is set to earn big bucks in the summer as transfer looks all but certain

Mohammed Kudus is all set to swap West Ham for Tottenham in the coming weeks
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is under pressure to be proactive in the transfer market as Spurs have not made any new signings yet. The Lilywhites endured a disastrous Premier League campaign last season, and fans thought that would be enough for Levy to invest heavily into the squad moving forward.
But the club chairman has just not tried to bring in reinforcements in the summer. With Thomas Frank aiming to build on the Europa League success next season, Daniel Levy must find a way to back the manager in the transfer market and sign the intended targets quickly. The slow approach adopted by the Spurs chairman has costed the club already as they have missed out on several intended targets.

Thomas Frank is keen to instil a winning culture at N17 and wants Tottenham to become ‘serial winners’ during his time at the helm. To achieve that, the Danish tactician will need quality players in all positions and enough depth to compete against elite teams in the Champions League. Fans will hope that Daniel Levy shares the same vision as the ex-Brentford boss and backs him in the coming weeks before the new season commences.
Tottenham on the verge of signing West Ham star Mohammed Kudus
Tottenham are looking to make a statement by signing a prolific attacker in the summer. It was reported earlier that the Lilywhites are heavily linked with a move for West Ham star Mohammed Kudus. The report also stated that the Ghana international is open to move to N17, and Spurs would be willing to break the bank for his signature as they look to bolster the attack for next season.
Now, ex-scout Bryan King believes that Tottenham will offer Kudus a big salary to lure him to N17. Speaking to Tottenham News, King said,
“West Ham need to raise some funds. Therefore, if they need to sell a player, Kudus is a player who will raise a lot of money. Kudus will want around £150,000-a-week to join Tottenham, and he would be signing a contract which is a minimum of four years. However, if this is the player that Tottenham want, then they will offer Kudus that money.”
Bryan King points out that West Ham need to raise funds in the summer and would be open to let Mohammed Kudus leave the club if the right offer comes in. The ex-scout adds that the Ghana international would only leave the Hammers if he receives a lucrative four-year contract offer with significant pay rise. King then insists that Spurs should be willing to cave in to the 24-year-old’s demands if they are eager to land him in the summer.
Signing Kudus would mean that Brennan Johnson would lose his place in the starting eleven next season. The West Ham star would suit Thomas Frank’s system, as the Danish tactician tends to play with inverted wingers during build-up. The Ghana international thrives when he cuts inside from the right and creates chances for his teammates.

The 24-year-old’s elite ball-carrying ability, as well as, his ability to create chances for his teammates is second to none. He can also play as a number ten if Thomas Frank opts to play Brennan Johnson on the right-flank. The only downside to this signing is that Kudus is not consistent enough, and tends to switch off during games. However, in the right environment, the Ghana international would surely look to flourish as all eyes will be on him.
