Tottenham target Rennes striker Arnaud Kalimuendo is closely being monitored by AC Milan
Tottenham Hotspur have practically made only two signings in this summer transfer window, but they are now closing in on their third.
As per reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, Spurs have reached a loan agreement with Bayern Munich for the signing of midfielder Joao Palhinha, with an optional €30 million buy clause, not mandatory, included. After the acquisition of Palhinha, the Lilywhites probably will shift their focus to recruiting a striker.
This is because the futures of Son Heung-min and Richarlison remain up in the air. Thomas Frank is yet to be clear on whether or not he can count on Son for the new season with interest from Los Angeles FC growing stronger day by day. Now, Inter Miami are looking to battle Los Angeles FC for the signing of the South Korean icon.

Richarlison has made an impression in this summer’s pre-season tour, most notably winning the ball for Pape Matar Sarr to score the incredible long-range goal against fiercest rivals Arsenal in Hong Kong on Thursday, but the club chiefs want to offload him this summer.
Tottenham target Arnaud Kalimuendo wanted by AC Milan
There is a clear need to bring an upgrade on Richarlison, someone who would not only cover for Dominic Solanke but also keep him on toes throughout the campaign. It was reported in July that Spurs are interested in signing Rennes striker Arnaud Kalimuendo.
The Frenchman has emerged on the Lilywhites’ radar after a prolific campaign with Rennes, for whom he registered 18 goals and four assists across all competitions. Tottenham have also established contact with Rennes over a possible deal for their star forward. However, it would not be straightforward to land him now following the entry of a European giant in the mix.
According to a report from Sky Sport Italia, AC Milan have made Arnaud Kalimuendo a ‘favourite’ to bolster their attack. There is no official offer tabled thus far, although the Rossoneri are closely monitoring the 23-year-old’s profile.

It is no secret that AC Milan are looking for reinforcements in attack, having let go Tammy Abraham, Luka Jovic and Francesco Camarda. They are now looking at Kalimuendo as a potential option following his goalscoring in Ligue 1 during the 2024/25 campaign.
Spurs must beat Milan to the Rennes striker’s signing
Kalimuendo looks like a man in demand, and aged just 23, he is only going to get better with time, maturity and experience. Predominantly a No.9, the former France Under-21 international can also operate in wide areas if required, which would him a good fit in Frank’s system as the new Spurs gaffer likes to use interchangeable forwards.
The ex-PSG man is not only a good finisher in the box but can also stretch defences with his pace and directness. Kalimuendo has the qualities to thrive in the Premier League, and keeping these factors in mind, we must do everything possible to get his signature before Milan ups their ante.
