Tottenham youngster Luka Vuskovic has agreed personal terms with newly-promoted Bundesliga club Hamburger SV ahead of potential loan
Luka Vuskovic has been impressing the fans since officially arriving at Tottenham Hotspur earlier this summer.
After Spurs agreed a deal with Hajduk Split for the defender in September 2023, Luka Vuskovic spent 18 months on loan at Radomiak Radom and KVC Westerlo before arriving at White Hart Lane last month. He scored and assisted on his Spurs debut against Reading in a pre-season friendly, announcing himself to the fans in style.
The teenager has already made quite an impression at White Hart Lane and remains keen to break into Thomas Frank’s first team in the upcoming season. After seeing plenty of minutes during the pre-season, Vuskovic, at least, hopes for that. Thomas Frank will have assessed the towering defender over the pre-season games and generally in training and must now decide whether to keep him in the squad for next season or loan him out.

Vuskovic agrees personal terms with newly-promoted Bundesliga club
It has been reported that Tottenham have decided to send Vuskovic out on loan. Hamburger SV is one of the clubs to have come forward to sign him. The newly-promoted Bundesliga club have been working hard to sign the teenager on loan.
Vuskovic’s elder brother, Mario, who is currently with Hamburger SV, last month publicly said the 18-year-old would love to play for the German club. And now, according to a report from German newspaper Kicker, Hamburg SV have agreed personal terms with the Spurs defender for a loan move. They now have to agree terms with the North London club to seal the loan transfer, without a purchase option.
The Hotspur Way officials are currently considering several loan offers for the highly-rated Croat, who is under contract until 2030. In North London, they want to carefully weigh where Vuskovic should take his next development step.

Tottenham must sanction loan move for the defender
Ideally, Vuskovic would love to stay at Tottenham and break into the first team under Frank. However, if Kicker’s report is to be believed, the Croatia international agreeing personal terms with Hamburg shows he wants to go out on loan and play regularly, something that looks bleak at Spurs owing to the presence of experienced centre-backs such as Micky Van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Kevin Danso and Ben Davies.
Tottenham believe Vuskovic is a massive talent after what was a very successful loan spell with Westerlo. They were impressed with his development in the Belgium Pro League, and if our club officials get assurances from Hamburg that he will get ample opportunities to shine in the Bundesliga and develop his game, they must sanction Vuskovic’s temporary exit.
