Tottenham star Cristian Romero has no intentions of slowing down as he looks to win more trophies donning the Lilywhite jersey
All eyes will be on Tottenham as they look to build on the Europa League this season. The Lilywhites managed to beat all odds last season after winning the Europa League and making history. Winning the competition also meant that the North London club managed to qualify for the Champions League. Now, Thomas Frank must make sure that his team competes hard on all four fronts in this campaign.
Fans are realistic with their expectations heading into the new season under a new manager. A top-half finish in the Premier League, as well as, a good run in any of the cup competitions will be enough to retain the backing of the Spurs faithful. But Thomas Frank is looking to go the extra mile at N17 and wants to make the club ‘serial winners’ during his tenure.

And the same feeling is being reciprocated by the players as they look to build on last season and win more trophies. The Lilywhites need to build momentum early on if they want to have a good run in the Premier League. And they have done exactly that by winning their first game of the season against Burnley.
Cristian Romero wants to win more trophies with Tottenham this season
Tottenham star Cristian Romero has just signed a new contract extension after flirting with the idea of leaving N17 for pastures new throughout the summer. There is no doubt that the Argentina international is a born-winner. And its this exact mentality that makes him want to give everything for Spurs as the club looks to build on the Europa League success this season.
Now, the 27-year-old has revealed that he wants to win more trophies with the Lilywhites after extending his contract. Speaking to Tottenham’s media team, Romero said,
“Thanks for your support every day, every match, for me it’s important, also for the team. Again, for me, the most important thing is to stay all together. Sometimes in football, good moments, bad moments, the most important thing is to stay together. We want to win. Why not win again this season?”
Cristian Romero took the time out to thank the fans for their continuous support week in week out. The Spurs captain has urged everyone to be on the same page as the Lilywhites will go through ups and downs this season. Romero has also clearly indicated that he wants to win trophies sooner rather than later. And the best time to do that is this season.
This is music to the ears of Spurs fans as they have been longing for a player with Romero’s mentality for a long time. The 27-year-old’s performances every week showcase his desire to win, and the whole squad takes motivation from that. Now, Thomas Frank’s men must make sure that they fight hard on all four fronts and take each game as it comes.
