Tottenham are finding ways to land Brentford striker Yoane Wissa in the summer
Tottenham fans are bracing themselves for what is going to be a tricky few days in the transfer window. As the clock ticks on, Daniel Levy is doing everything he can to bring in new players and give Thomas Frank the best chance to succeed at N17. And it is fair to say that the Spurs chairman has done a good job so far in the transfer market, considering how long it took the Lilywhites to seal their first signing.
Now, Spurs are looking to invest heavily into the attack and bring in more quality in the final third of the pitch. The Lilywhites are on the verge of completing a permanent deal for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze. It was reported earlier this week that Daniel Levy met with Palace chairman Steve Parish to seal the deal for the England international. But there are still no signs of an agreement being found between the two clubs.

However, the North London club is also looking to upgrade the forward line in the coming days. Richarlison has been on the verge of exiting N17 on several different occasions in the summer, with many clubs interested in signing him. But the Brazilian seems to have convince Thomas Frank that he can be valuable for the club this season, following a brilliant display against Burnley.
Tottenham not shutting the door on Brentford striker Yoane Wissa yet
With time ticking on in the transfer window, Spurs need to decide whether to stick with the same players up front or bring in a new player that could compete with Dominic Solanke for a place in the starting eleven. The Lilywhites do not have a lot of options in the market to choose from, so Daniel Levy needs to decide accordingly as time runs out.
It was reported earlier that Spurs were keeping tabs on Brentford striker Yoane Wissa’s situation at the Gtech Stadium. The DR Congo international made it clear he has no intentions of playing for the Bees again. And the Lilywhites took notice of that, and offered the prolific striker to come to N17 and compete for a spot in the team alongside Dominic Solanke.
Now, there is a new update regarding Wissa’s uncertain future in West London. As per Sky Sports, Tottenham are willing to take the extra step of offering Richarlison to Crystal Palace as Eberechi Eze’s replacement. This will free up the space at N17 for a new striker and the North London club can test the waters for Yoane Wissa again. Thomas Frank is keen to work the 28-year-old again. The report also states that Wissa is only aiming to play for Newcastle United and has no interest in joining any other club.
It remains to be seen how Daniel Levy approaches this deal in the coming days. Signing Yoane Wissa will definitely provide a different dynamic to the Spurs attack. The DR Congo international is currently in red-hot form and he would be a good cover option for Dominic Solanke. Thomas Frank’s experience of managing Wissa will also prove to be a huge factor. And it is fair to say that the Danish tactician knows how to get the best out of him.
