Tottenham could benefit from transfer domino effect as Manchester City eye blockbuster summer deal

Date:

Manchester City are now open to selling Savinho to Tottenham Hotspur as they pursue Rodrygo

The twists and turns of the summer transfer window are continuing to have their effects on the European football as the market reaches its last few days. Tottenham Hotspur themselves were on the negative side of such a turn when they saw their North London rivals Arsenal snatch Eberechi Eze right from their hands.

There are less than 10 days left in the market, but one cannot rule out other such surprises taking place in the market. One such surprise could now end up in Spurs’ favor, as they can still have a chance to land one of their preferred targets to reinforce their attack.

This seems to be the case, as per a report from Fichajes, Manchester City are now open to parting ways with the Brazilian forward Savinho, but only for a price reaching up to €80 million. Tottenham have been linked with the winger for quite some time now, and they can now finally get their man as City look to land the Real Madrid star Rodrygo Goes.

Despite him not being a regular starter lately, Los Blancos would not sell their star Brazilian for cheap, and will listen only to offers upwards of €100 million. To raise the funds for this acquisition, Manchester City could be open to allow Savinho to leave for their Premier League rivals, Tottenham.

The Brazilian would be a very good addition to this Spurs team

Although Mohammed Kudus has had a very good start to life with Spurs, there is no doubt that the arrival of another winger, especially of one as good as Savinho, would be a very welcome development for the manager Thomas Frank.

Last season, he scored 3 goals and provided 13 assists for Manchester City and he can improve further on these stats if he undertakes the move to Spurs as he would be a more important player for Thomas Frank and would get more chances to play. Furthermore, having already played in the Premier League for a season, he would also have adapted well to the competition.

With Son Heung-Min’s departure, time is particularly ripe for Tottenham and Savinho to merge their ways and hopefully, this will happen before the transfer window closes.
