Leicester City pushing Bilal El Khannouss to make Saudi switch amidst Tottenham Hotspur interest
Well, it has been a summer of ups and downs for Tottenham as they continue to find players that could bolster the quality of the squad. The Lilywhites are aiming to compete hard on all four fronts this season under Thomas Frank. But that will only be achievable if the Danish tactician has enough squad depth to rely on as games come in thick and fast.
The North London club faced public embarrassment earlier last week after getting snubbed by Eberechi Eze at the eleventh-hour. The England international was all set o join Spurs after agreeing personal terms with the club. However, Daniel Levy could not find an agreement with Crystal Palace for Eze’s signature, prompting Arsenal to come in and hijack the deal in a matter of hours.

Since then, Levy and Co. have been trying hard to save face and bring in a player that is just as good as Eberechi Eze. It is fair to say that the Lilywhites have not yet succeeded in doing that as we approach the business-end of the transfer window. And it looks highly unlikely that a new #10 will be brought in before the market shuts shop on Monday.
Tottenham unlikely to land Leicester City attacker Bilal El Khannouss
It is an open secret now that Tottenham are in the market for a new attacking midfielder after Eberechi Eze decided to snub the Lilywhites. The North London club are also forced to be without James Maddison, as the England international ruptured his ACL earlier this month. The Spurs midfielder’s untimely injury has made signing a new #10 a priority as the clock ticks on.
Spurs were willing to test the waters for Leicester City attacker Bilal El Khannouss. The Lilywhites were looking to lure the Morocco international to come to N17 as an alternative to Eberechi Eze. With Crystal Palace also in the hunt to land the attacking midfielder, Daniel Levy was trying to find a way to tempt El Khannouss to join Tottenham by offering him regular game time and Champions League football.
However, it looks like the North London club will not be landing the 21-year-old anytime soon. As per TBR Football, Leicester City are sticking to their £40m valuation for El Khannouss as interest in the Morocco international intensifies. Also, the Foxes are pushing the talented attacker to move to Saudi Arabia instead, as they are willing to meet the valuation set by the one-time Premier League champions.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Bilal El Khannouss as we approach the business-end of the transfer window. The Morocco international would be a brilliant signing to say the least. And he has shown time and again that he can shine in the Premier League, despite playing for a struggling side such as Leicester City. But is he worth the asking price the Foxes have set for him? Probably not.
