Just as the Lilywhites’ supporters were getting used to the idea of getting Fabio Paratici back at Hotspur Way, we saw Daniel Levy announcing his shock departure, which means that it has thrown everything into doubt.
The former Juventus decision-maker was expected to come back to Hotspur Way in an official role. He had maintained strong links at N17 after stepping down from the proceedings at the club in 2023. But with Levy no longer at the helm now, this reunion looks highly unlikely for the Premier League heavyweights.
Fabio Paratici could not return to Tottenham after all

And according to journalist Graeme Bailey, it was Daniel Levy himself who had been pushing to bring back Paratici to the club. The former chairman initially believed he would have another season at the helm to oversee the transition. He wrote on TBR Football:
“Fabio Paratici is unlikely to take up the role previously discussed and agreed.
Daniel Levy knew the change was coming at some point, but it has come earlier than they thought – belief was he might have another season so obviously he wanted Paratici involved.
“Now Levy has gone, we are told it is ‘unlikely’ that Paratici will be taking up an official role at the club and will look elsewhere for his next permanent role.”
Now transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has also gone on to suggest that Paratici is also considering alternative options to the North Londoners after Daniel Levy’s departure.

The 63-year-old has been an integral part of the proceedings at Tottenham for 25 years. And he had a big say on everything that happened at Tottenham. But now sources close to the club stress that the Lilywhites have already put new structures in place to ensure the stability of the club. Chief Executive Officer Vinai Venkatesham is now said to be central to Tottenham’s future. While he only came to the North Londoners in April, the former Arsenal executive oversaw the appointment of Thomas Frank and has been working closely with technical director Johan Lange to reshape the squad along the recently concluded summer window.
Paratici boasted a fantastic record in the transfer market during his time at Tottenham. And given the news of him possibly returning to Tottenham, many Lilywhite faithful were excited. But let’s face the fact: with Daniel Levy moving away from Tottenham, it does look like Fabio might not walk through the doors at Hotspur Way after all.
And instead of Paratici, the next chapter at Tottenham will be shaped by the trio of Venkatesham, Lange and Frank. And this trio looks like they have a structure in place which is designed to outlast Levy’s era, even if it wasn’t supposed to come through quite this soon.
