Tottenham Hotspur are set to enter a new era under the guidance of Lewis family
Tottenham are entering a new era at N17 as the Lewis family take control of the club following Daniel Levy’s shocking departure. The majority stakeholders of ENIC are looking to focus more on the footballing side of things, with the Lilywhites aiming to build on their Europa League success this season.
To achieve short-term, as well as, long-term success at N17, the North London club’s newly formed hierarchy would need to back Thomas Frank in the upcoming transfer windows. Not only that, but the Lewis family would also need to make some radical changes in the football club as soon as possible.

The decision to remove Daniel Levy from his position as Spurs chairman might just prove to be a masterstroke in the future. The Englishman was clearly holding the club back and failed to understand what the North London club stood for. This is exactly why the Lilywhites only managed to win two major trophies during Levy’s 24-year stint at N17.
Lewis family ready to inject cash investment for Tottenham in the coming months
It was reported earlier that the Lewis family are aiming to walk the talk and inject cash into Tottenham for the upcoming transfer window. The majority stakeholders of the club are reportedly willing to invest £100m as they want to see the Lilywhites compete for titles and major trophies on a regular basis. These funds are specifically for player wages and future transfers to bring in new signings.
However, Bryan King believes that the club’s owners need to invest more than the said amount if they really want to see Spurs grow. Speaking to Tottenham News, King said,
“I think £100m has to be the starting figure. When you talk about £100m a year ago, you could have brought in three decent players. If you’re looking at players of top quality, then it’s going to cost you a lot of money.”
The ex-scout added,
“£100m sounds an awful lot of money to the punter, but to people who work in football, it isn’t. I would say £200m is what it needs, if they (ENIC) really want to take Tottenham to the next level.”
Bryan King believes £100m is not going to be enough for Tottenham to address their issues in January. The ex-scout admits that the Lilywhites would need a lot more money if they want to bring in quality players in January and give themselves the best chance to succeed under Thomas Frank. King wants the Lewis family to invest £200m instead and show real ambition in the upcoming transfer window.
It remains to be seen whether this is another fake promise by ENIC, or if they actually want to turn the fortunes of the club around. For now, it looks like they will stay true to their promise and help Thomas Frank by bringing in quality players quickly.
