Tottenham Hotspur star Randal Kolo Muani continues to struggle with his fitness
Tottenham Hotspur spent the entire summer shuffling between targets for a new striker. But came deadline day, and no #9 came through the doors at Hotspur Way. Many believed that the North Londoners’ pursuit for a new target man for that window is done with Richarlison and Dominic Solanke set to stay. But Daniel Levy had other ideas…
Randal Kolo Muani has had injury problems since he joined Tottenham

The 63-year-old former Lilywhites chairman brought in Randal Kolo Muani on on a season-long loan from Paris Saint-Germain on deadline day.
It was a transfer that surprised many. But signing the Frenchman was also seen as a major coup for Thomas Frank & Co.
And yet he has only seen 13 minutes of game time donning that Lilywhites badge. He appeared late on as a sub in the 1-0 Champions League win over Villarreal. And since then he has seen a persistent dead leg keeping him on the sidelines for far longer than it was initially expected. That has raised a few questions about the true extent of his injury, with supporters debating around it every matchday that he is not involved.

In the midst of this mist around his injury, injury specialist Dr Rajpal Brar has now provided some clarity. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, he goes on to say that the issue may have been more complex than what the medics at N17 first thought.
He said:
“It’s difficult to say if this might keep him out longer because with these ‘dead legs’, there can be a big impact on the muscle, which can lead to high levels of pain and dysfunction.
“It’s hard to put a timeline on that, especially if there is any bone bruising involved as well.
“I don’t think Frank should be concerned because the injury was a contact injury, which is typically bad luck compared to anything more concerning.”
There are expectations that he will return imminently. Possibly straight after the upcoming international break. Having him back means Tottenham will get a much-needed attacking boost heading into what is a congested October schedule.

The Frenchman’s return back to action could not come soon enough. The North Londoners have succumbed to recent draws against Wolves and Bodo/Glimt. And both of those games showed this lack of vertical threat and composure as soon as the possession entered into the final third. Those are the exact couple of qualities that Kolo Muani naturally brings to the table.
Moreover, given that the Dane head coach likes to play with quick transitions and intelligent movement between the lines, the former Frankfurt striker will also give you that much-needed physical presence with finishing presence, which would immediately elevate the frontline.
And if the 26-year-old can hit form quickly after the break, then suddenly we will see this struggling attacking identity taking a significant step forward.
