Tottenham Hotspur are setting the pieces in place amidst big ambitions
Tottenham Hotspur are undergoing major structural changes at the top following Daniel Levy’s departure from N17 last month. The Lilywhites are determined to find the right balance to build on last season’s Europa League success and strengthen their standing in European football. However, there remains a clear gap between Spurs and their domestic rivals, one that ENIC must address by establishing a strong and cohesive leadership structure.
One of the club’s top priorities is to refine its recruitment strategy. Tottenham cannot afford any missteps in the upcoming transfer window if they intend to compete on all four fronts this season. A clear and coordinated plan for both player acquisitions and departures will be essential for sustained success.

Recently, the Lewis family reaffirmed their commitment to the club’s sporting ambitions by injecting £100 million into Tottenham. The funds are earmarked for player transfers and wages, reflecting a renewed focus on on-field progress rather than commercial ventures. This investment also serves as a statement of intent from Joe Lewis, signalling that he has no plans to step away from the North London outfit anytime soon.
Tottenham appoint Fabio Paratici as Sporting Director
In another major development, Tottenham have officially confirmed the return of Fabio Paratici as the club’s new Sporting Director. The Italian executive will share responsibilities with Johan Lange for the time being, with both expected to collaborate closely on recruitment ahead of the January transfer window. Paratici’s reinstatement is a significant boost for Spurs, as his experience provides stability and expertise in navigating complex transfer dealings.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Paratici said,
“I’m delighted to be returning to a Club that I love. I have been working with Johan, Vinai and Thomas as a consultant for a number of months and I now look forward to returning to London and joining the team full-time. I’m convinced that working in partnership with Johan we can build a special future for the Club and our supporters.”
Paratici’s return to N17 has been long in the making. The Italian previously served as Tottenham’s Director of Football before being handed a 30-month ban over false accounting charges during his time at Juventus. After serving his suspension, he rejoined the Lilywhites earlier this summer in a consultancy role, offering behind-the-scenes support on recruitment matters.
Now, with his official reinstatement, Tottenham finally have their experienced transfer strategist back at the helm. All eyes will be on how Paratici and Lange operate together during the January window, their first major test as a duo. The pair will be tasked with identifying key reinforcements to strengthen Thomas Frank’s squad and ensure Spurs continue their upward trajectory both domestically and in Europe.
