Tottenham have slapped an eye-watering €100 million price tag on Micky van de Ven amid Real Madrid links
One of the many positives for Tottenham Hotspur this season has been the standout performance from Micky van de Ven, week in, week out.
The Netherlands international has been a class act at the heart of the Lilywhites’ defence, showing signs of reviving a strong partnership with skipper Cristian Romero. This shows the club’s faith in the 24-year-old and how much highly they value his skill. The Lilywhites are embracing potential approaches from European clubs but also aiming to persuade him to stay.
Tottenham CEO Vinai Venkatesham is prioritising Van de Ven’s new contract to reward him for his excellent performances, sending a clear message that the defender is integral to their future. It will also represent a strategic move to price out the suitors, especially Real Madrid, who are ready to go big for the Netherlands international next year to bolster their backline.
Van de Ven not going anywhere
