Sami Khedira to discuss January transfer with Tottenham, Everton
According to journalist Christian Falk on Twitter, Juventus midfielder and World Cup winner Sami Khedira is in England to discuss a January transfer with Everton, but will also hold talks with Tottenham.
The 33-year-old played under Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid, with the Portuguese signing him from VfB Stuttgart in 2010. Under his tutelage, Khedira won the La Liga title as well as the Copa del Rey in Spain.
Khedira left Real Madrid to join Juventus in 2015. The 2014 FIFA World Cup-winning midfielder tasted plenty of success in Italy as well, although he has struggled with injuries and lack of game time over the past year.
The 33-year-old has been frozen out of the first-team picture by new manager Andrea Pirlo and hasn’t played a single game this term. Khedira is in the final six months of his contract with Juventus. He is now allowed to speak to foreign clubs over a potential transfer.
With the January window now upon us, the German midfielder has hinted previously that he wants to test himself in the Premier League.
And, now Falk has claimed that the midfielder is in England to discuss a potential transfer to Everton. Khedira also worked with the Toffees’ manager Carlo Ancelotti during his time at Real Madrid. Along with Everton, the Juventus star will also speak to Tottenham as well.

Khedira hasn’t played much football over the past year. However, a midfielder of his experience and winning mentality would certainly be a handy addition even if he doesn’t play as regularly. It, however, remains to be seen if Tottenham will bring him in this month.
