Jose Mourinho expects a quiet January transfer window for Tottenham
As reported by Football.london, Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that he does not expect a busy transfer window for the club in January.
Tottenham enjoyed quite a successful summer transfer window that saw the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart, Matt Doherty, Sergio Reguilon and Joe Rodon sign for us. In addition, Gareth Bale and Carlos Vinicius also signed on loan from Real Madrid and Benfica respectively.

The impressive transfer business in the summer has helped us compete on all fronts this season. And it was expected that Mourinho might look to strengthen in a couple of positions this month. But, he has insisted that things are likely to be slow on the transfer front.
“I’m not expecting, no. Times are not easy. The club made a big effort in the summer to try and build a good squad. Honestly, if something good happened to us, it would be a big surprise for me. I don’t feel the right to ask for something.”
Despite Mourinho saying that he doesn’t expect any signings, it has been claimed that Tottenham are looking at bringing in a new left-footed centre-back and another central midfielder.

Indeed, RB Leipzig’s Marcel Sabitzer has been heavily linked with a move to the club over the past few weeks. It remains to be seen if the club do bring in the Austrian international in the summer or sign any other player.
There could also be a few outgoings as well, with out-of-favour stars such as Paulo Gazzaniga, Danny Rose, among others could be on their way out.
