Real Madrid interested in a potential summer deal for Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min
As per reports in Turkey, carried by Givemsport (h/t Daily Mail), Real Madrid are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min after being impressed with his recent showings for the Londoners.
Son has been in blistering form this season. He has scored 12 goals and assisted 5 times in the Premier League for Spurs so far.
And his performances have now caught the eye of the La Liga giants. The report states that Zidane is personally monitoring the South Korean and will try to pursue the club for a possible deal in the summer. (h/t Daily Mail)

Son recently signed a new £150,000-a-week deal with Spurs in 2018 which expires in the summer of 2023. Speaking in October 2020, manager Jose Mourinho expressed his intentions of having the winger tied down on a new and improved contract.
Hard to replace
Real Madrid, however, are cautious about spending money on expensive wingers especially after Eden Hazard not living up to the expectations since his move from Chelsea.
Son is a constant fixture in Jose Mourinho’s side this season. The former Bayer Leverkusen winger has played in 24 matches for the Lilywhites so far.
Moreover, he has just missed 3 matches over the course of the 2020/21 campaign, with none of them being in the league.

Spurs do have great attacking depth in their team. However, Gareth Bale’s loan deal ends in the summer and no one apart from Harry Kane has come even close to matching Son’s numbers this season.
