Tottenham star Manor Solomon undergoes another surgery as injury setbacks continues

We have hardly gotten a glimpse of Manor Solomon representing Tottenham Hotspur since he moved to North London in the summer. The Israeli winger has sustained a knee injury on his right leg that has kept him out for the majority of the campaign.

Spurs signed the 24-year-old on a free transfer, and his move came under the spotlight for the wrong reasons as Shakhtar Donetsk pressured Daniel Levy into paying for Solomon’s services. That was the most he has been in the headlines since moving to North London, as a knee injury has kept him on the sidelines since October.

Solomon has kept his injury rehab process private, though he took to social media recently to address Tottenham fans.

The club has revealed, in an official statement, that he has sustained another setback to his injury and has undergone a second (minor) meniscus surgery in an attempt to permanently resolve the issue.

It must be an extremely edgy time for the former Fulham star, with mighty pressure to get back, to perform, and to earn his place in the squad again. Tottenham have been playing extremely well under Ange this season and have taken massive strides forward since Solomon last played for Spurs.

You feel sad for such situations and how they would impact a player’s future. This knee injury might have a far-reaching impact on Solomon’s time at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. He may come back only as a part-player and watch his minutes fade into a backup role once he’s ready to go.
