Serie A star Albert Gudmundsson likened to Salah linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to bolster their offensive options in the upcoming summer transfer window as they weigh up an offer for a target that has been likened to Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah.

Spurs are keen to add some reinforcements to their roster as they continue to progress under Ange Postecoglou, which makes Daniel Levy & Co. target Genoa breakout star Albert Gudmundsson, who has been compared to Mo Sarah in recent times, according to Gazzetta Cello Sport.

The Sarah comparisons are compounded by Kevin Strootman, a player who used to play with the Egyptian at Roma and is now Gudmundsson’s teammate at Genoa. Strootman has previously highlighted the similarities between both players.

“If he keeps improving, he won’t stay at Genoa for long. He reminds me of Salah when he was at Roma, in that every now and then he disappears. Much like Salah then, he would have four or five chances per match and only score at most one,” Strootman said

“They used to say that if Salah was more clinical, he would be playing for Liverpool, and that is exactly what happened. All joking aside, Gudmundsson is a devastating player and also an exemplary professional.”
