Tottenham are keen to land £40m rated 25 G/A PL striker; he is a part of the explosive PL duo

Yoane Wissa might follow Thomas Frank to Tottenham in the coming weeks
Tottenham are looking to kickstart a new era at N17 following their Europa League success last month. The Lilywhites have not made any moves in the transfer market yet as they looked to sort out the managerial situation first. Now that Thomas Frank has arrived at the North London club as Ange Postecoglou’s replacement, Daniel Levy must shift his focus on bringing in reinforcements for next season.
The Danish tactician has a huge task at Spurs, and the fans will hope that the club gives the 51-year-old time to enforce his tactics and system. The ex-Brentford manager’s approach is completely different to Big Ange. The playing style is slightly more pragmatic, and Thomas Frank’s team prefer to focus on defending as a unit.

However, the Lilywhites need to bring in new players in the summer if they want to close the gap on their rivals next season. Many key players have underperformed this season, and Daniel Levy must cash-in on them to generate funds for new signings. The disastrous Premier League campaign will also force Spurs to adopt the ‘sell-to-buy’ policy in the summer.
Tottenham are interested in signing Brentford star Yoane Wissa
There is a clear need to bring in attacking reinforcements in the summer following a disastrous Premier League campaign. With Richarlison facing an uncertain future at the club and Dominic Solanke needing a reliable partner up front, Daniel Levy must pull out all the stops and focus on signing a new striker for next season.
As per the Guardian, Spurs are interested in signing Yoane Wissa from Brentford in the summer. The DR Congo international endured a fantastic individual season under Thomas Frank at the Gtech Stadium, and the Danish tactician wants Wissa to follow him to N17 in the summer as well.
The aforementioned report also suggests that Brentford do not want to lose their main striker and value the 28-year-old at £40m. Wissa’s contract at the Gtech Stadium runs out next year, and there have been no indications of a contract extension yet. So, Brentford might look to cash-in on the prolific striker for a reasonable fee as they do not want to lose him on a free transfer next year.
The DR Congo international will fit in perfectly at N17. The arrival of Thomas Frank will also help Wissa’s chances of joining the Lilywhites massively in the summer. And it is fair to say that the Danish tactician will get the best out of him in North London, just as he did during his time at Brentford. However, signing Wissa would mean that Dominic Solanke’s place in the starting eleven would come under jeopardy.

But Spurs fans can be excited with the transfer links for the Brentford No.11. He thrives as a lone striker, and falls deep regularly to create space for the wingers to get in behind. Wissa’s movements in the box are second to none and most of his goals have been during counter-attacks last season, proving that he is fast and explosive during transitions. His familiarity with Thomas Frank’s system will only help the North London club as they look to compete on four fronts next season.
