Fenerbahce have intensified their interest in signing Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma
Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer window has kicked into life since last week, with a number of incomings and potential signings coming into the frame.
Spurs completed the signings of Kota Takai and Mohammed Kudus, whilst agreeing to trigger the £60m release clause in Morgan Gibbs-White’s contract at Nottingham Forest last week. Gibbs-White was scheduled to complete his medical at N17 on Friday, only for Nottingham Forest to interrupt.
On the outgoings front, the club bosses are trying their best to move on the players that are surplus to requirements for Thomas Frank. One of those is Yves Bissouma, who has entered the final year of his contract at White Hart Lane.

Ex-goalkeeper wants Yves Bissouma to stay at Tottenham
Since the start of the summer, several reports have suggested that Tottenham want to cash in on Yves Bissouma. Last week, it emerged that Juventus are eyeing a move for the 28-year-old after learning that he might not be part of Thomas Frank’s plans at Spurs. However, it turns out that Fenerbahce are also interested in him.
The Malian international could leave the club for around £12-15million this summer, with Fenerbahce managed by former Spurs boss, Jose Mourinho sending an official last week to meet him and Tottenham. That being said, ex-Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson wants to see Bissouma remain at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the upcoming season.
“I think he’s the type of player that needs to play every week. He’s one of those who gets into a rhythm, rather than being a bit-part player. It’d be interesting to see what Thomas Frank’s plans are for him,” Paul Robinson exclusively told Tottenham News.
“What Tottenham get from being in the Champions League and what you would have to pay to replace him. From a selfish point of view, from a Tottenham point of view, you keep him.
“If you’re going to let him go and you’ve got better coming in, fair enough, let him go. And if the finances allow it, I just think other areas of the pitch could be strengthened. And from a Tottenham point of view, for the sake of £12million, you keep him to be part of the Champions League squad next year.”

Spurs must offload the Malian international
Bissouma has just a year left on his contract, so this is the best time for Tottenham to get a decent fee from his sale. If the African is offloaded, the club bosses will need to replace him in Frank’s squad.

Recent reports suggest the North London club have revived their interest in Conor Gallagher, who will be allowed to leave Atletico Madrid this summer after just one season. A box-to-box presence with Premier League experience, Gallagher could be a fine option to replace Bissouma.
