Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze backed to fit in like a glove at Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham are looking to make a statement signing before the transfer window shuts shop in a few days’ time. The Lilywhites need to address a few problems in the final third of the pitch, and Daniel Levy is working hard to get new players in to sort that out. To make matters worse, Thomas Frank has also been forced to deal with the setback that James Maddison has suffered. The England international ruptured his ACL in a pre-season friendly earlier this month. And it has now been confirmed that the attacking midfielder is all set to miss out on most parts of the season.

There is no surprise that Tottenham are in the market for a new attacking midfielder that can also operate on the left-flank as and when needed. The Lilywhites are on the verge of completing a deal for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze after Daniel Levy held direct talks with the Palace chairman this week. Spurs have bid £60m for the attacker, and the player is also said to be keen on the move.
Now, ex-Spurs player Michael Dawson has shared his thoughts on Eberechi Eze’s potential transfer to N17. Speaking to Hayters TV, Dawson said,
“Huge fan of Eze as well. That buy-out clause, I think it was £68 million and I think that has run out. Whether something will happen, I’m not too sure. But yes, huge, huge fan of Eze and I certainly could see him fitting in that Tottenham team for sure.”
Michael Dawson has clearly indicated that he is a ‘huge fan’ of Eberechi Eze. The ex-Spurs player added that the England international did have a buy-out clause in his Crystal Palace contract before it expired last week. However, Dawson is keen to see the 27-year-old at N17 and believes that he would fit right in at the club under Thomas Frank.
Bringing in a player like Eberechi Eze would surely get the fans off their feet. The prolific attacker thrives in big games and likes to excite the fans with his ability on the ball. He is also versatile and can either play as a left-winger, or as a #10. The 27-year-old’s ability to create chances and score goals is second to none, making him a player worth signing in the coming days.
