Mohammed Kudus is aiming to make his mark at Tottenham Hotspur following a high-profile switch from West Ham
Tottenham star Mohammed Kudus has already managed to make a good impression at N17 following his solid display for the Lilywhites last weekend. The Ghana international was head and shoulders clear of anyone else on the pitch against Burnley in his home debut for the club. And the 25-year-old also managed to bamboozle the fans with his lightning quick feet and his ability on the ball.
Daniel Levy managed to do the impossible by landing the prolific winger from West Ham earlier in the transfer window. As we all know, Spurs and West Ham do not have the best relationship and tend to avoid each other regarding transfers. So, signing Kudus from the Hammers was something that was not ordinary for the North London club to do.

However, it seems like the transfer is paying off already as the Ghana international is already making his presence felt at N17. The winger managed to grab two assists in the first Premier League game of the season as well. His two key crosses proved to be decisive as Richarlison slotted them home and gave Spurs their first win of the season.
Tottenham star Mohammed Kudus will look to prove his critics wrong
Tottenham fans will hope that Mohammed Kudus continues his good form and silences his critics. There are still a majority of people that believe the 25-year-old does not have what it takes to make his mark at N17. However, after a brilliant display against Burnley, you can see why the Lilywhites spent big bucks on him.
Yet, Roy Keane is not convinced with Spurs’ decision to sign Mohammed Kudus. Talking on the Stick to Football podcast, Keane said,
“That was a strange old deal that wasn’t it? You didn’t see that one coming did you. I’m not sure, I’m sorry, I’m not sure.”
It is understandable why Roy Keane is sceptical about the signing and does not believe it will work out. It is important to acknowledge that Mohammed Kudus did not endure the best of campaigns last season, and the Ghana international was in and out of the team under Graham Potter. As per Sofascore, Kudus only managed to register five goals and four assists in 35 games in all competitions.
However, one can always argue that the 25-year-old was playing in a struggling West Ham side that had switched managers midway through the season. The winger was never an ideal fit for Graham Potter’s system and managed to find life tough during the latter stages of last season. But under Thomas Frank, the winger will have more chances to shine and he will also be played in positions where he can make an impact on the game.
