Manchester City decide to block any advances from Tottenham Hotspur for Savinho as the Cityzens remain adamant to retain him

All eyes will be on Levy and Co. as they look to find a way to save face before the transfer window shuts shop. The Lilywhites managed to miss out on key target Eberechi Eze at the eleventh-hour to arch rivals Arsenal. The England international had also agreed personal terms to come to N17, but Levy’s dilly-dallying stalled the move, giving Arsenal an opportunity to come and seal the deal.

The Spurs chairman leaves important business till the last minute, before missing out on the intended targets. And this is exactly why the North London club have not enjoyed constant success during Levy’s tenure at N17.
It was reported earlier that Spurs were closing in on the deal to sign Manchester City winger Savinho. The Brazilian was keen to move to N17 in the hopes of getting regular gametime as well under Thomas Frank. Not only that, but the 21-year-old also wanted to play at the highest level possible and be the face of the project, something that he would never happen at the Etihad.
However, Tottenham have suffered a massive setback in their hopes of signing the ex-Girona star. As per Fabrizio Romano (via X), Manchester City have informed the Lilywhites that they have no intentions of losing Savinho at this stage of the window The Cityzens will reject any bids for the winger as Pep Guardiola sees the talented player as a key player for the present and the future.
This means that Spurs have to somehow find an alternate target and sign him before the window shuts in four days. The Lilywhites are also interested in AS Monaco talent Maghnes Akliouche. The Frenchman hasmade some serious waves in Ligue 1, and Daniel Levy has taken notice of that. Akliouche will also be allowed to leave Monaco if a suitable offer comes in before deadline day.
