Alejandro Garnacho is Chelsea bound amidst Tottenham Hotspur interest
Tottenham Hotspur are still working to strengthen their attack as the 2025 summer transfer window approaches its end. Overall, they have had quite a good transfer window, as they were able to bring in some exciting new players, including Joao Palhinha and Mohammed Kudus.
However, Spurs also saw a forward as important as Son Heung-Min leave in this window, while James Maddison also suffered a serious injury during the preseason. As a result, the North London club has been working to bring in new offensive reinforcements before the transfer window closes, but so far, have not had too much success.
In these last few weeks, they have been linked with several high-profile players, especially after missing out on the Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze. Among these players has also been the Argentine starlet Alejandro Garnacho, who was reported to be looking for a way out of Manchester United.
Now, as per a new update from Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham have also missed out on Garnacho, as the Italian journalist has made his “here we go” post about his move to Chelsea. Romano claims that Chelsea and United have reached a deal for the youngster, as he wanted only a move to Enzo Maresca’s side.

Tottenham have several other targets on their list
The Blues will pay around £40 million for the forward, and will tie him up with a seven-year deal. This update from Romano makes it pretty clear that Garnacho will not be playing for Spurs any time soon.
However, luckily, the Argentine was only one of the several players that have been linked with the Lilywhites in the last few days. Maghnes Akliouche, Nico Paz, Rodrygo Goes, etc. have all been linked with the North London side, and it remains to be seen whether Spurs will have any more success in their operations to bring one of these players to Thomas Frank’s team.
Meanwhile, one can be reasonably confident that Tottenham fans will not mind missing out on Alejandro Garnacho too much. Although there is no doubt about his talent and quality, he has been too inconsistent during his time with Manchester United, and Spurs would ideally want to sign a more proven forward.
