Tottenham Hotspur loanee Luka Vuskovic receives double boost after strange injury concern
Tottenham Hotspur allowed Luka Vuskovic to join newly-promoted Bundesliga club HSV Hamburger on a season-long loan in August.
The teenager has a chastening Bundesliga debut, with HSV Hamburger being ripped apart to shreds by Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. He was a part of the Hamburg side that were trounced 5-0. However, the defender’s second outing was a lot better as he netted in the 2-1 win over Heidenheim on Saturday.
After missing an early chance before eventually scoring, Luka Vuskovic was disappointed with himself and reacted angrily by hitting the post. The Croat then believed he’d broken a finger, stating that he suffered a reoccurrence of an old injury.

Luka Vuskovic gets two good news on same day
Earlier this week, Vuskovic received two bits of good news, including one about his finger injury. According to a report from German outlet Bild, examinations have revealed that the Hamburg defender has not fractured his finger and has only sustained minor bruises. He has thus been given ‘all-clear’ by the club’s medical department to feature against Union Berlin on Saturday.
That is not the only piece of good news the Tottenham loanee has received. Vuskovic seems to have impressed Croatia manager Zlatko Dalic, leading to him being called up to national team squad for October’s World Cup qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Gibraltar, the report adds.
The Split-born talent made his senior debut for Croatia back in June and has a chance to feature next month. If Dalic’s team beats both Czech Republic and Gibraltar, Vuskovic will have a great chance of being on the plane to the United States for the World Cup in the summer.

At 18, Vuskovic is still a raw talent and needs improvement in several aspects. First and foremost, the defender must learn to control his anger and bring more focus to his game if he’s to be counted among the best in the game. The towering Croat has the entire career ahead of him, and we hope he learns and continues making progress at a rapid rate.
Saturday’s game against Union Berlin gives the Tottenham loanee a chance to build on his Heidenheim performance and get on the scoresheet again.
