Harry Kane has no plans of returning to Tottenham right now after a brilliant run at Bayern Munich
Tottenham are in desperate need of a new centre-forward if they want to take the next step and start winning trophies consistently. The Lilywhites cannot rely solely on Richarlison and Dominic Solanke to deliver goals under Thomas Frank. Both strikers have struggled for rhythm and consistency, proving time and again that they may not be the right players to lead the club forward.
A dream return for Harry Kane might just be what Spurs need to become genuine contenders for major honours. The England international has been making some huge waves at Bayern Munich since his switch to the Bundesliga in 2023. He recently became the fastest player to score 100 goals for a single club, reaching the milestone in just 104 games.

Not only that, but the 32-year-old is showing no signs of slowing down this season. As per Sofascore, Kane has already racked up 18 goals and provided three assists in the opening ten games of the new campaign. This just shows that he is still one of the best strikers in world football and having him at N17 would bolster the attacking line significantly.
Tottenham unlikely to land Harry Kane next summer
Recent reports suggested that Tottenham are exploring the possibility of re-signing Harry Kane next summer. The England international has a £56.7m release clause in his contract that gets activated in the new year. Not only that, but the report also stated that Spurs are the frontrunners to land the legendary striker due to his close relations with the Lewis family.
However, it appears like the 32-year-old may be leaning towards extending his stay at Bayern Munich instead. Speaking to The Guardian, Kane said,
“In terms of staying longer I could definitely see that. I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet but if they were to arise, I would be willing to talk and have an honest conversation. Obviously, it depends on how the next year or so goes, what we achieve together.”
The legendary striker added,
“We are in a fantastic moment and I am not thinking about anything else. In terms of the Premier League, I don’t know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back. Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn’t say I would never go back.”
Harry Kane has made it clear that he is open to extending his stay at Bayern Munich if the club offers him a new deal. While the legendary striker has not ruled out a Premier League return, a move back to England is not his main priority at the moment. His final decision is likely to depend on Bayern Munich’s performances this season and what they achieve under Vincent Kompany in the coming months.
If Tottenham were to pull off the signing of Harry Kane, it would instantly transform them from top-six contenders in the Premier League to genuine title challengers. The 32-year-old still has plenty to offer and would be a perfect fit for Thomas Frank’s tactical system. Moreover, a return to N17 could prove tempting for Kane, who would still have the opportunity to chase down Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League goal-scoring record.
