Bayern Munich star Leroy Sane is out of contract at the end of the season
Tottenham Hotspur have already started making plans for next season, and despite signing Mathys Tel on loan from Bayern Munich during the winter transfer window, are targeting some attackers.
Richarlison has endured another injury-plagued campaign, providing barely any support to record signing Dominic Solanke. The Brazilian could be offloaded in the summer and he is reportedly open to returning to Everton. Timo Werner’s loan is certainly not getting turned into a permanent deal, while Son Heung-min’s future at N17 also remains up in the air.
The Lilywhites have been linked with several forwards over the past few months. Now, according to an exclusive report from TBR Football, Tottenham are one of the clubs to have been offered the chance to sign Leroy Sane by Bayern Munich. Intermediaries working with the Bayern Munich star’s representatives are contacting several clubs across Europe to let them know about the player’s possible availability.

The Bavarian giants have tried their best to tie Leroy Sane to a new deal since last year. However, nothing has come to fruition so far and it is believed that Bayern have now given up hope of keeping hold of the Germany international, who is out of contract (Transfermarkt) at the end of the season.
This means the versatile forward is highly likely to depart the Allianz Arena on a free transfer, although he has not fully ruled out staying at the club. The 29-year-old’s potential availability on a free transfer in a few months’ time has put several clubs on red alert.
Since leaving Manchester City for Bayern back in 2020, Sane has racked up 56 goals and 50 assists in 209 appearances thus far. He has blown hot and cold this season, making just 12 starts in the Bundesliga under Vincent Kompany.

In Sane, who has been linked with a move to White Hart Lane, Tottenham would get a versatile, seasoned campaigner with solid Premier League expertise. The Essen-born star spent three full seasons with Man City with whom he won two Premier League titles, three Carabao Cups and the FA Cup once. Now much more matured and experienced, he has the skill set to immediately make an impact at Spurs.

At 29, the ex-Schalke man is enjoying the best years of his career and could be a fantastic potential replacement for the ageing Son. If Sane can keep himself fit, the Lilywhites could land a brilliant player without spending a single penny on a transfer fee. Nevertheless, it won’t be easy as there are several clubs with bigger ambitions waiting for the opportunity to pounce on Sane.
