Chelsea forward pushing for summer move amid Tottenham links; Blues willing to cash-in

Chelsea star Christopher Nkunku is looking for a fresh start as Tottenham links grow stronger
A new striker is desperately needed at Tottenham after the dismal Premier League campaign that the club endured. The Lilywhites need to bolster their attacking depth as they look to build on the Europa League success next season and aim to compete hard in the Champions League.
Last summer’ statement signing Dominic Solanke did not have the best start to life at N17 following his move from Bournemouth. The England international looked out of place, and failed to replicate the form that he showed during his time with the Cherries. However, the 27-year-old did find his feat in the end and managed to play a crucial part in helping Spurs win the Europa League.

The same cannot be said Richarlison. The Brazil international has just not going at Tottenham since making a high-profile switch in 2022. Constant injuries and the lack of confidence have clearly showcased that the 28-year-old needs a fresh start as Spurs look to kickstart a new era at N17. Keeping the ex-Everton star at N17 on high wages would mean that the Lilywhites would not be able to bring in a new striker next season.
Tottenham want to sign Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku
There is no surprise that Tottenham are in the market for a new striker. Dominic Solanke clearly needs some help up front, and signing a new forward would keep the England international on his toes as well. Thomas Frank also likes to play two strikers against some oppositions, so bringing in a quality player that could linkup with Solanke would be a massive boost for the team.
It was reported earlier that Spurs were interested in signing Christopher Nkunku from Chelsea in the summer. The Blues have recently signed Joao Pedro and Liam Delap in the summer, and this confirms that the Frenchman has fallen down the pecking order under Enzo Maresca. The aforementioned report also stated that Chelsea are willing to cut their losses and have slammed an asking price of £35m for the striker.
Now, there is a new update in the transfer saga involving the ex-PSG star. As per Football Insider, Christopher Nkunku is pushing to leave Chelsea as he looks to et his career back on tract next season. The 27-year-old wants to play regularly, and will look to assess his options before making a decision on his future.

Signing Nkunku might actually improve to be beneficial for Tottenham as he would thrive under Thomas Frank. The France international is comfortable to play anywhere in the frontline, and can also provide good cover for Dominic Solanke. His elite ball-carrying ability, and his tendency to create chances for his teammates might also make him a suitable option to play alongside the Spurs No.19.
