Tottenham might need to cash-in on some players and recoup the fees paid for Mohammed Kudus
It has been an eventful week for Tottenham fans in regards to the summer arrivals. The Lilywhites were almost non-existent during the initial weeks of the transfer window following a slow start to the summer. However, Daniel Levy binned that approach and the North London club quickly announced the arrival of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United on a £55m deal.
Not only that, but Spurs also managed to trigger the £60m release clause for Morgan Gibbs-White as they look to revamp the squad for next season. The deal to land the England international is far from sorted out though, as Nottingham Forest have lodged a legal complaint against the Lilywhites for breaching the confidential contractual details.

There is still a strong expectation that the North London club will land Gibbs-White, despite Forest’s efforts to keep hold of the 25-year-old. But the fans are now hoping that Daniel Levy makes use of this time and sells some of the underperforming players in the coming weeks. Thomas Frank needs the best players around for next season, and keeping hold of the deadwood would lead to problems again next year.
Bryan King wants Tottenham to focus on outgoings in the summer
The arrival of Mohammed Kudus has sparked a lot of questions regarding the futures of a few Tottenham players. The Ghana international can either operate on the right-flank, or as a number ten. And it looks like some players might need to head for the exit doors to make space for the new signing. It was reported earlier that Richarlison would be sold by the club if Kudus was signed, and the transfer links to other teams indicate just that.
Now, Bryan King also believes that Spurs might cash-in on some forwards to make space for Kudus. Speaking to Tottenham News, King said,
“A player of Kudus’ calibre, he’s not being brought in to sit on the bench. Especially not at £55m. He’s going to be playing, which means Spurs will have players looking over their shoulders. Will those players be happy as squad players?”

The ex-scout added,
“Will they ask to leave the club? I would imagine that Levy is going to want to recoup some of the money he’s spending. Therefore, I think at least three, perhaps even four players, will be sold by Tottenham. They need to, otherwise they’re overloaded.”
Bryan King has suggested that Kudus has not joined Tottenham to sit on the bench. The ex-scout adds that the Ghana international will be playing week in week out, and some players might not the game time they deserve as a result of that. King also insists that some players will not be happy with the limited gametime on offer, and Daniel Levy must make sure to cash-in on them and recoup some of the money spent on Kudus in the summer. Bryan King believes that the Lilywhites will sell three or four players to not overload the squad for next season.

Some key players are linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks. Heung-Min Son is one of the high-profile names that is facing an uncertain future at N17. It was reported earlier that the South Korean is ready to hold crunch talks with Thomas Frank regarding his future at Spurs. Another forward linked with a move away from the club is Richarlison. The Brazilian is keen to play regularly and is linked with a move to Palmeiras and Vasco De Gama as a result of that.
