Harry Kane is happy at Bayern Munich amidst Tottenham Hotspur interest
After a strong start to the new campaign under Thomas Frank, Tottenham are intent on building on last season’s Europa League success. The Lilywhites are determined to compete on all four fronts this year as they aim to add more silverware to their trophy cabinet. And it is fair to say that the early signs under the Danish tactician are promising.
However, closing the gap on their rivals and mounting a genuine Premier League title challenge will be difficult with the current squad. Spurs still lack the depth and top-tier quality needed to maintain consistency week after week. It goes without saying that the North London club must focus on signing elite players in the upcoming transfer windows if they want to sustain their momentum.

One potential marquee signing could be a sensational reunion with Harry Kane next summer. The England international has been in electric form for Bayern Munich, showing no signs of slowing down. According to Sofascore, the 32-year-old has already scored 15 goals and provided three assists in just eight appearances for the Bundesliga giants. He also became the fastest player to reach 100 goals for a single club, hitting the landmark in only 104 games for the reigning German champions.
Harry Kane planning to stay put at Bayern Munich amid Tottenham links
Reports suggest Tottenham are monitoring Kane’s situation closely amid growing speculation that Bayern Munich fear he could leave for pastures new next summer. The striker reportedly has a £56.7m release clause in his contract that become active next year – a clause that Spurs could look to trigger. The North Londoners are also seen as frontrunners for his signature due to Kane’s close ties with the Lewis family.
However, Spurs have suffered a setback in their pursuit of the legendary striker. Speaking after Bayern Munich’s match against Werder Bremen, Kane addressed the transfer links himself. The ex-Spurs icon said (via Fabrizio Romano on X),
“No, I’m not thinking about PL return at the moment. I’m really happy here. I have two years left on my contract. I’m enjoying every moment. Bayern is the best place to win trophies, absolutely.”
Harry Kane made it perfectly clear that he is not focusing on a Premier League return and wants to continue at Bayern Munich instead. The England international highlighted that he is ‘happy’ in Germany and the chance to play at the Allianz Arena gives him the perfect opportunity to win more trophies.
Even so, many believe the door is not completely closed. As Ian Wright has noted, Kane may still dream of returning to N17 before he retires to lead Spurs to a major trophy and cement his legacy at Hotspur Way. A Premier League return would also give him a realistic chance of surpassing Alan Shearer’s all-time goal-scoring record.
