Thomas Frank will hope that he leads Tottenham to a top-half finish in the Premier League this season
Tottenham have now won three of their first four Premier League games under Thomas Frank. The Danish tactician has clearly transformed the Lilywhites, and it looks as though there is no turning back under the former Brentford boss. The north London club’s latest win came in a tricky fixture away to West Ham.
Not many fans were confident of getting a positive result against the Hammers, given that playing at the London Stadium has always been tricky for Spurs. But the Lilywhites produced a professional performance in a hostile atmosphere and stuck to their game plan from minute one.

The Lilywhites are joint top of the Premier League table, and it looks as though they are laying the groundwork to build on their Europa League success. Frank has outlined his intention to compete hard on all four fronts this season, and the Spurs players have taken that on board after a brilliant start to the campaign.
Tottenham might just have an outside chance of pushing for a UCL spot via the league
Tottenham look like a completely different team under Frank this season. The Dane was always keen to build on the foundations laid by Ange Postecoglou, and it looks as though he is succeeding. The impressive results against Manchester City and West Ham United in the league are just the tip of the iceberg.
Taking notice of that, Ashley Williams has predicted Spurs to finish strong in the Premier League this time around. Speaking on BBC Sport (via X), Williams said,
“Yeah, really strong squad, especially in those attacking areas as you said. I think they’ve got a serious argument to say they’re going to be in the top four. They will be pushing for the top four. They’ve got a good manager.”
The ex-Swansea player added,
“I really like Thomas Frank. As you said, if they got an injury or someone drops in form, the next man is up. They’re looking strong. I think if you’re a Tottenham fan now, you’ve got to be a little bit excited.”
Ashley Williams believes Tottenham’s attacking threat is second to none and that the Lilywhites have a strong chance of pushing for a top-four spot because of it. The former Swansea defender also praises Frank for bringing the best out of his squad in the short time he has been at N17. Williams points out that there is no drop-off in performance if a key player gets injured, thanks to the club’s strong squad depth.
Now fans will hope the Lilywhites continue this good run of form and build on the momentum they have created. Spurs’ focus should now be on beating Villarreal in their first Champions League game of the season. Anything less than three points will be seen as a disappointing result for Frank’s men.
