Tottenham have offered Richarlison and Bissouma to Fenerbahce

Tottenham are ready to part ways with Richarlison and Yves Bissouma this summer as they plot a squad rebuild

Tottenham Hotspur had a disastrous 2024/25 domestic season, but they salvaged it in the end by winning the Europa League and qualifying for the Champions League.

The Lilywhites have already started their rebuilding plans by announcing the release of few players. The likes of Sergio Reguilon, Fraser Forster and Alfie Whiteman will leave the club upon the expiry of their contracts at the end of the month. Meanwhile, Timo Werner will also return to his parent club RB Leipzig as his second loan spell at Spurs concludes.

It marks the start of the North London club’s summer business as they look to strengthen the club ahead of a Champions League campaign in 2025/26. However, there are still few underperforming and fringe players in the current roster that needs to be offloaded before fresh talents are added.

David Moyes has shut down rumours linking Tottenham forward Richarlison to a return to Everton.
Tottenham forward Richarlison’s future remains up in the air

Now, according to a report from Turkish outlet Turkiye Gazetesi, Tottenham have offered Richarlison and Yves Bissouma to Fenerbahce. Internal meetings at Fenerbahce have taken place with regards to the two Tottenham players, but final decision will be up to head coach Jose Mourinho.

The Turkish club are expected to enter the transfer market for a centre-forward after Eden Dzeko’s departure at the end of last season, and there is also uncertainty surrounding the future of Youssef En-Nesyri.

Richarlison, in that regard, could be a fantastic option for Jose Mourinho’s side to replace Dzeko. The Brazilian has had persistent struggles with fitness and form at Spurs ever since arriving from Everton in the summer of 2023, failing to realise his potential in the process. He also had a limited impact on the pitch during the 2024/25 campaign, and with the striker not providing sufficient back-up to club-record signing Dominic Solanke, the club chiefs are open to offloading him this summer.

Like Richarlison, Yves Bissouma is also on the club’s chopping block. While he made 44 appearances last season, the African enforcer’s performances were not up to the mark. It was only due to injuries to James Maddison, Lucas Bergvall and Dejan Kulusevski that he got opportunities during the back end of the campaign, and while he finished the season strongly, the Hotspur Way chiefs want to cash him in now.

Should Mourinho give the green light and Fenerbahce sign both Richarlison and Bissouma, Tottenham will need to replace them in the squad. As a possible replacement for Bissouma, Spurs are looking at FC Copenhagen talent Victor Froholdt, while Al-Hilal striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is being pursed to fill the gap if Richarlison leaves too.
