£12m rated Tottenham starlet set to be given chance to impress under new manager; pre-season key for future plans

Luka Vuskovic might stay at Tottenham Hotspur next season despite loan enquiries
Tottenham starlet Luka Vuskovic has raised a lot eyebrows at N17 even before setting foot in North London. The highly-rated centre-back has shown his qualities during his stint at KVC Westerlo this season. The 18-year-old showed glimpses of his potential time and again at the Belgian club, and finished the campaign on a high before his much-awaited switch to Spurs.
As per Sofascore, Vuskovic racked up 36 appearances this season for Westerlo, scoring seven goals and providing two assists in that time. The goal involvements just show that the 18-year-old is effective at both ends of the pitch, and can play a vital part during set-pieces. The talented centre-back also scored a season rating of 7.32, suggesting that he was consistent with his performances.

Tottenham secured a deal to sign the defender in 2023, but the Lilywhites could not bring Vuskovic to N17 immediately due to the Brexit regulations as he had not yet turned 18. However, the North London club can now add the Croatian to their ranks for next season as Vuskovic turned 18-years-old earlier this year. The highly-rated centre-back is also keen to play in the Premier League following a successful time on loan at different clubs.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank wants to ‘monitor’ Luka Vuskovic before deciding on his future
Tottenham’s transfer strategy in recent years suggest that the Lilywhites are willing to trust the youth in different competitions. The North London club have time and again focused on signing youngsters and develop them into world-class players at N17. The amazing infrastructure and ‘state-of-the-art’ training centre are used to maximise the full potential of these players.
Now, the North London club are willing to add another teenager to their ranks for next season. As per the Daily Express, newly appointed Spurs manager Thomas Frank is willing to closely monitor Luka Vuskovic during pre-season games before deciding on the Croatian’s future. The 18-year-old is keen to stay at N17 and play a key part next season as the Lilywhites look to build on the Europa League success.
The aforementioned report also suggests that many clubs from Germany, France, and Belgium are interested in signing Vuskovic on loan for next season. However, Spurs are not in a hurry to send the defender on loan as Thomas Frank wants to see if the 18-year-old can play a key part in his plans next year.

The fans will hope that Luka Vuskovic is given a fair shot at Hotspur Way and his talent is maximised while he is donning the Lilywhite jersey. The Croatia international will also fit in at N17 under Thomas Frank. Vuskovic has good positional awareness for his age and he is also comfortable to play out from the back. The defender also has a good leap, and likes to contest in aerial duels at both ends of the pitch.
